Distance Healing
The capacity for distance healing is a significant advantage in the advanced practice of energy healing. Reiki Masters, Shamanic Healers, Qigong Healers all have the ability as part of advanced training: some practicioners are more effective than others. After the PGSG Condensed form training I experimented with distance healing. Success!
A colleague had been traveling, returned home and had been unable to shake cold symptoms for a month. Given this person lives 4,000 miles away from me, doing a face to face healing was out of the question. We synchronized watches, set up a time and for 15 minutes I generated the healing energy. Later that day, I was told the symptoms had cleared. They did not reappear weeks later.
People are skeptical of distance healing, but when one gets validation of symptom reduction without recurrence, the Doubting Thomas is put to rest.
How does it work? The premise of distance healing is that Qi energy can be directed and it will auto-adjust. The practitioner needs to be of clear intent and focus. The recipient expresses desire to heal and focuses on receiving the energy. A journey is embarked upon; the energy is directed and received. Some healers will 'see' the recipient, some will experience the recipients ailment, others see or feel nothing but 'know' the energy is directed and received.
Self Care The beauty and elegance of Energy Psychology is that you can learn to do much of the energy work yourself; practice at home. At a basic level, you can learn to receive Qi, meditate and other calming/grounding techniques. By doing so, you will improve your self care, reduce the risk of relapse and your sense of well being will improve. You will learn to trust your inner healer, trust your unconscious and increase your awareness of the external world and inner resources. Communication with self and other will improve significantly.
Success Story A woman was having a tough year - divorce, death of a parent and subsequent family system disruption. She took a medical leave from her high powered job and sought medication and therapy.
As a homework assignment, she was asked to practice the anxiety management strategy, Virtual Walking (VW-Directions are in my book Subliminal Focusing). Noticeably, she was calmer. We then added the Password Phrases, Take kindness and benevolence as basis, take frankness and friendliness to heart. That night she sat in meditation for 30 minutes, starting with Virtual Walking, then saying the phrases to herself. She reported feeling much better afterward. A friend noticed she 'looked like she had had eight hours of sleep and her eyes were clear'. She noticed that getting through the day was much easier. She also disclosed that the violent dreams did not recur each night she did the VW and Password meditation.
